For food lover, Ávila can satisfy any taste buds. The nuns belonging to Santa María de Jesúis convent are famous for their delicious cakes, biscuits, sweet, and chocolates. These delicacies are available in the local shops. Try the judias, a local bean which is believed to be the best kind available in Spain. There are also many religious articles like miniature images and statues mostly dedicated to St. Teresa which you can shop for your love ones.

Try out the local cuisines if you can here. There are three famous eating places in Ávila- El Almacen, Alcaravea and Dona Guiomar. In Ávila meat is a much in most of their dish. You must try the famous Ávila veal made from the meat of dark Iberian.

A walk around the city wall is really a must. This wall is the most symbolic and amazing monument in the place. It is actually amazing that the wall is in perfect condition despite the age. You can view the whole town within. The San Vicente and Alcazar gates look pretty impressive especially at night. From the Leales Gate you can go directly to the cathedral in the middle of the city which resembles a fortress. This cathedral is considered as a masterpiece like other buildings there.

There are many important places in the world to travel and explore all the different varieties of religion, there culture, languages and various recreational activities. Travelling plays an important part in any individual’s lives. Going on a vacation with the family and spending memorable movements with them. Let us go to the place which involves religious beliefs and customs.

San Miguel de Lillo is one of the best heritage designations of the world. It is a religious building for the Christians. It is a church which was built on the Noranco Mountain, when the King Ramiro was the ruler. Church is used as a place of worship, but it is exclusively for the group of Christianity. It refers to the religious worship to Jesus. This church is basically a place which was later turned into a religious place. It has a sturdy appearance from the external view and internally it has columns which are typically twisted and designed in an Austrian manner. As this church is been preserved since ancient times, now it has to be protected from the various human and natural conditions. The old monuments have to be protected as it provides much necessary information about the past as well as the human behaviour.

This precious monument was dedicated to the ST. Mary in the ancient times which was later dedicated to the St. Michael. It has got excellent construction of the place which is exactly near to Santa Maria del Naranco. Since, the 13th centaury this is the only building which is kept and it is now only the one third of the whole. The church is a excellent example of the human architecture and there decoration which made this monument as the best heritage site of the world. The walls of this building are decorated with murals which serve as the roman decorative painting. The figure in the paintings represents the human figure which acts as the leading role for the people. The figure on the walls depicts a human with the colourful dress and a musical instrument which resembles the lute. These ancients’ monuments provide certain amount of information only by looking at the work and the way they have been made. The decoration involved in this buildings are never been seen after the ancient times as the people working over there had an inborn talent in them. This church actually represents a masterpiece which was created by creative and innovative ideas of the gifted humans.

This old buildings forces the humans to exchange there ideas, views, and there values over the time and the cultural part of life which connects the different people of the world at the same time. Ancient times there were no such technologies but still the architectural work was considered to be the best. By providing such type of examples it gives an outstanding significance which shows the architectural and the technological areas of the life. It shows the exact landscape. This kind of monuments and buildings are the unique creativity in the history of man kind.

Spain is a European Country observed as a nation born out of spiritual struggle between Islam, Protestantism, Judaism and Catholicism. After, so many centuries of Reconquista where in Christians in Spain fought very hard to drive away Moors. Spanish Inquisition wanted to complete the spiritual refinement of the Iberian Peninsula by forcefully driving the non believers, Protestants and Jews away from Spain. Actually speaking about religions in Spain, besides Roman Catholics specifically Roman Apostolic you can find thousands of Jews mostly Sephardic, these people were settlers in some of the large urban centers such as Barcelona, Cordoba, Seville and Madrid. In recent times, a synagogue was opened at Mallorca.

Catholic religion in Spain

Catholicism is one of the major religions of the people of Spain which has strong roots across many centuries and is still present in this part of the world. Toledo is believed as the main head quarters of the church of all the Catholics in Spain. From Toledo, the Spanish Catholic Church activities continue to articulate religious edicts on several matters not restricted to religion however frequently about the society. Due to the secular Spanish Government it can not be said that catholic religion is the Spain’s official religion. However, the church of Catholic religion still receives unique treatment in Spain. Amongst the constitutional rights sought out to the Catholic religion is the reality that Catholicism is the only religion in Spain which still receives some kind of official state support from the Spanish Government.

Declining power of Catholic religion in Spain

Similar to the other parts of European region, Spain is at present a secular country where in Catholicism has entirely lost its power. IN fact, there appears to be a disagreement taking place among the protectors of Spanish Government and the Catholic religion. In recent years, the Spanish Government has moved forward to promote abortion and authorize same gender marriage. Both of these were strictly forbidden as it was against the traditional culture of Spain. The Catholic Church in turn took some legal actions by contacting professional lawyers and doctors who are believers of Catholic religion not to be the part of abortion practices and divorce cases in Spain.

Muslim Religion in Spain

Muslim religion was in supreme power in Spain for over 400 years which brought with it several great developments in civilization. A new rule of freedom of religion was applied in Spain when the Muslim religion was declared as an official religion for most of the ruling class. The inheritance of Muslim religion’s existence in Spain can be still visible in some of the palaces of Cordoba and gardens that were built during the ancient era. But, during the Catholic invasion of Spain Muslim religion believers were either converted to Christianity or forced to leave Spain. This shows that in the present Spain there are no original Spanish followers who follow Muslim religion. However, still today there are several Muslim religion followers in Spain and most of then who were the immigrants to this part of the world who actually came from Morocco.

The place

Costa del Sol is actually a region which is located in the south side of Spain. This place comprises of communities and of coastal towns that are beside the Mediterranean coastline. Historically, it is said that there were many fishing villages in Costa del Sol and there were white villages which ran its expanse to a little distance inland and the mountains too ran down the coast. However, this area was discovered and also developed further to meet the needs of international tourism in the fifties. Since then, Costa del Sol has become a popular destination amongst the foreign tourists for its amazing breath taking beaches and for its local culture too. Formerly, Costa del Sol was made up of many small, quiet fishing settlements and it totally transformed in the latter part of the twentieth century to a tourist destination.

Number of places that one can visit

Costa del Sol includes many cities which are Malaga, Benalmadena, Mijas, Puerto Banus and many such attractive places. Some of these places are the wealthiest of the towns in Costa del Sol. Marbella is one of the famous towns in Costa del Sol for its reputation of being a place to visit for the super rich and some famous visitors every year. Recent years experienced a lot of golf enthusiasts due to which Costa del Sol was also named as Costa Del Golf for specific reason. There were some high quality of golf courses and more than fifty of them in Marbella itself, for which Costa Del Golf name came into existence. This town attracted many golfers from all parts of the world including Europe. Costa del Sol in turn, became beneficial from the stimulation which golf provided and this gave way for a lot of tourism. This resulted to an increase in the development of new complexes to the accommodation facility for the golfers who visited the area.

Places to see

One of the most interesting places to be in, The Basque Coast provides the tourists with maple opportunities of indulging in sports and natural activities. The beach is full of fine sand and is attracts the tourists for its ecological environment. For the tourists everything is possible in the Basque Coast. The tourists can even take part in the various ritual activities like gastronomy or enjoy luxury at places like Donostia and Biarritz in San Sebastian. The infrastructure of the island is capable enough to provide the tourists with activities like horse riding, underwater diving, surfing, sailing, golf and many more. The two towns named Bayonne and Biarritz will surely keep to the expectation of the tourists while providing them with several more attractive places to visit.

According to the tourists the local people of the island are very friendly. The only suspected problem that can be faced by the tourists is the English skill of the people. This is due to the people mainly speaking Spanish and French among them. Even most of the restaurants out there in the island provide menus printed in French. Thus the tourists will have to look out for a restaurant which provides menus printed in English as well.

Biarritz: This is one of the towns and is known for connecting the area with Norway. During the 12th century the place was used as farming and fishing with whale hunting the main task. It was until 17th century when the hunters had to move towards Newfoundland for hunting whales. In the beginning of the 19th century Biarritz gained the image of one of the most popular seaside resorts. The town is located at a distance of about 18 kilometres from Spain’s border and comes under the governance of French Basque country. With a population of about 30,000 people, the town has mainly concentrated in providing the tourists with sporting activities which mainly include surfing and golf. The tourists can actively take part in the annual surfing event named Biarritz surf festival. This annual event takes place in the La Cote des Basques beach. This is the place where the tourists can also witness some international as well as congresses fests. The main beach located in the town is known as the Grande Plage, which is also one of the most popular surfing spots of Europe.

Bayonne: Unlike Biarritz, this is a much quieter town with splendid architecture and astonishing beauty. Located at the banks of Adour and Nive River, Bayonne has been divided into Petit Bayonne and Grand Bayonne by Nive River. Nive forms the heart of the with most of the restaurants, covered market and squares located at its bank. Houses located at the banks are best examples of Basque architecture. Most of these houses are made of timber and shutters painted in red and green colours. With a population of about 45,000 people this city forms the capital of the region providing economical, judicial, religious and administrative services. The tourists should be sure to have a taste of the mouth-watering chocolate manufactured in this region known as Freia Mjelkesjokolade.
