Spanish Delicacies have one common ingredient, which gives them a unique, rich and delicious flavour that sends one drooling. The Spanish Tapas is one such delicacy, which is simply oh-so lip smacking tasty. It is the very heart and soul of their culture and lifestyle. Lively and noisy bars are to be seen in Spain every where, which serve delicious plates which are basically small servings with smashing flavours, and distinguished tastes all together.

This tapas, is a form of appetizer and a small snack, which is enjoyed along with a drink before lunch time or after dinnertime. It contains a lot of cheese, which can be of different types. Sheep’s cheese is widely used all over Spain, which helps make some of the choicest delicacies.

A hard cheese, which is produced in the Castilla La Mancha region, is savored by one and all. This cheese is made from sheep’s milk and has a distinct flavour which makes many of the Spanish delicacies lip smacking and delicious. It has a slightly salty flavour, and is often served along with jamon iberico. The rest of the tasty plates which specialize in using this form of cheese are the Cochinillo Asado, GambasAjillo, Paella, Pescado Frito, Tortillas, Enchiladas, Gazpacho, Patatas Bravas, Pulpo a la Gallega, which are all equally tasty, and savored by one and all. They are not only made at the homes, by all the Spanish folks, but are equally loved by each and every tourist, as they are mastered by the Spanish chefs in these luxurious hotels. Cheese in Spain is produced on a massive quantity and varies much from every region to the other.

The fried potatoes in spicy sauce, Spanish fried rice and others mentioned make good use of cheese, and use in by grating it to decorate the dish, or simply melt the delicious sheep’s cheese and serve it with fries. Whilst there are many different types of cheese which find their origins in Spain, the Manchego cheese is the most well produced and popular variety of cheese after sheep’s cheese, which is used extensively by the common folk.

This Manchego cheese can be categorize into two types, which are the farmhouse type, which consists of unpasteurized milk of sheep, while the other one s the industrial type comprising of pasteurized milk. This cheese has also been mentioned in the famous literary piece by Cervantes; Don Quixote of La Mancha. Smoked Idiazabal cheese is used to prepare every exotic dish, and really adds up immense taste to every plate. It has an intense taste, and crispy base which makes it oh-so-delicious and perfect to taste. Eaten along with sun dried tomatoes, red wine, olives, and bread it makes a great part of the Spanish traditional diner or supper. The aroma of this delectable Manchoga cheese is enjoyable and has a sunning and magnificent combination. Great for the mind, body, soul and tongue, this cheese is a true winner, and a must to try for every foodie!
